PHysical Education Philosophy
As physical educator I have the opportunity to work to instill the hunger in my students to want to be physically active throughout their lives. Here at Lyncourt we do not limit curriculums to just basic sports skills. We introduce students to activities that can be used throughout their lifetime, introduce them to games played around the world, and educate them on important concepts. Concepts like teamwork, respect, and responsibility can all be learned and instilled through physical activity.
I know that not every class will be the same, not every student is the same and not every day is the same. These are challenges that Ilook at at as opportunities. This is my chance to be creative with my lessons and units. I am always be pushed to come up with new and exciting ways to teach. I am constantly growing my knowledge and abilities right alongside my students, which is amazing.
I believe it is important to make sure all students are successful. I provide modifications in all my lessons to make tasks harder or easier for students. I provide challenges by choice to make sure all students do not feel pressured or uncomfortable. I believe that to get students to be active and stay active, they need to find enjoyment and feel confident. I work to help all my students to find that in physical activity. I believe as a teacher providing a safe, positive, and encouraging place to learn will leave a last impression on the students.

Don't limit yourself. Many people limit themselves to what they think they can do. You can go as far as your mind lets you. What you believe, you can achieve.

Health
This is a new unit for students, and an important one. I work to add to the knowledge that students already have and help them think outside the box. I want them to be porud of their work and be confident in their abilities. I work to create a challegenging, engaging, and safe learning enviroment. I work to stay uptoday with the information that I share with the students so I am learning with them. I use a number of teaching styles and activities in hopes to reach all my students. It amazing to know that I have the chance to inspire my students. I want them to all feel proud of their abilities and know they always have me as a supporter.
